A phase is an optional label within a project that helps separate related groups of inspection work. Use phases consistently when your team needs to distinguish a work area, visit, or agreed project stage. A phase does not replace the workspace or project, and it does not grant a separate set of user permissions.
Set a phase when uploading
- Confirm the Workspace in the header and open Upload Files.
- Select the destination Project.
- In Phase (Optional), select an existing suggestion or type the agreed phase label.
- Leave the field empty if this upload does not need a phase.
- Choose the Camera, add files, and review the destination before selecting Upload Data.
The phase field accepts text. Suggestions come from phase names already used for uploads in the selected project. A new name can be entered without a separate phase-creation form. The selected phase is submitted with the upload session.
Keep names consistent
Agree on labels before a group begins uploading. Reuse an existing suggestion when it describes the same work. A spelling change, abbreviation, or different wording can make related records harder to locate later. Treat a phase as an organizational label rather than evidence that processing or project work has reached a particular completion stage.
When changing projects in the upload form, review the Phase field again. The suggestions are loaded for the chosen project; a label meaningful in one project may be wrong for another. An empty suggestion list does not prevent entering a phase, and it does not prove the project has no data.
Filter by phase when reviewing work
In Viewers, choose a Project and then its optional Phase filter. Choose Apply and review the resulting facilities. Webmap also provides a phase filter for the selected project. Internal TREKK staff can filter Files by phase as part of their file-review workflow.
When you cannot find an expected facility, clear the phase filter and search the whole project. This helps identify records uploaded without a phase or associated with a differently named phase. Clearing a filter changes the view; it does not change the saved phase.
Correct an unexpected phase
Record the workspace, project number, current phase, intended phase, and affected upload or facility. Ask your Workspace Manager or Support to review the assignment. Do not repeat an upload solely to change the phase without confirming what is already stored and processed.
Phase filters are scoped to accessible project content. If the entire project is missing, troubleshoot project access first. Continue with Uploading 360 Video, Viewer Overview, or Project Access.
